With Alice watching, Kirito and Eugeo begin fighting with one another. During the fight Kirito tries to snap Eugeo out of his synthesized personality. Eventually during the fight, due to the synthesis ritual having been rushed and no memories removed, Eugeo manages to regain control of his mind. He freezes both Alice and Kirito with the Blue Rose Sword and heads up to kill Administrator.
